Has anyone dove hunted this unit 2527 yet this year. Will be going up that direction in a few days and just wondering if it would be worth the stop. Don’t mind if I don’t see many birds just don’t want to show up and grass be six feet tall

It's a plowed field now. Think it was corn planted. If you're not worried about not seeing birds you'll be fine. Wasn't many last year and I doubt any this year.
ETA. I drove by it 2 weeks before opening and it looked to had been harvested well before then and plowed.

I live 2 miles from this hunt area, don't waist your time. No birds here this year.

Thanks for info. It’s been slow on birds every where we have hunted this year.

Hunted there last year. There were half a dozen hunters spread across the field and no shots were fired.

It can be challenging to enjoy public land hunts, especially when the property is close to large cities…they seem to attract lots of inconsiderate or even clueless “hunters”…try and find the out of the way spots that are far away from cities…these entail more travel time, but can pay off with fewer people and more chances at game.
