You guys are crazy! I played for the first time with my wife down here in Mexico. It is 88° 85% humidity zero shade we played for 45 minutes and we had enough. I've played short stop so I get the angles and quick reactions but tennis is like playing short stop non-stop. Kudos to you guys..... new respect for tennis players.

Yeah, for sure! I played a bit when I was younger and it kept me is pretty damn good shape. Tried playing a few years ago and my knees and ankles really don't like all of the cutting and running. Combine that with a fatter me than I was 15 years ago, its pretty painful but likely hysterical to watch.

I tried to pick it up. We played in a couples league for a few summers. My shoulder couldn’t take it. Those that do are obsessed with it. Kudos to them!

Yeah, the wife was like lets reserve it for tomorrow..... I was like, lets wait, and see how we feel in the morning, and go from there..... I will be hurting, this 46 year old truck driver is in no shape to be playing tennis.

I played short stop as well and so did my Son. We both picked up tennis very fast. I never thought about comparing tennis to shortstop but I can see the quickness and it would help with the angles too I guess. I never really thought about having every pitch hit to you at short but even then it wouldnt compare to the nonstop with tennis, so youre right. However, it should be obvious that tennis is almost nonstop for long periods so Im surprised youre surprised. When I played(long ago) I relied almost completely on quickness and keeping it in play so I would do very poorly at an advanced age Im sure. I love that game, but Ive given up everything for deer hunting.
A big group of us would go to the US Open Tennis Tournament in New York every Labor Day weekend for years. Watch tennis all day and do the NY night life thing at night. Some of the most enjoyable trips of my life.

At some point in life its time to quit chasing the pot of gold and just enjoy the rainbow. FR

I’ve always enjoyed playing tennis and racquet ball. My ankle doesn’t like walking a straight line on level ground, so those are a distant memory

You bet they do.
I played, a lot in college. So, I earned my tennis elbow, honestly. up
Top notch tennis, is not for the weak.
That's why, most world rated tennis players. Begin at a very young age. (retired at 30)
It's really hard on the body. Especially, the arms and knees.
I would put their fitness level, right up there with football..

Sounds like it's about time for a helicopter dance and a Mojito with a shot of tequila.

Enjoy amigo.

Speaking of tennis, Laylah Fernandez is something. Have seen a couple amazing matches with her over the past few days, and she is taking down really talented players.
