Scouted some of the Public hunting lands near Lake Ray Hubbard area, and reports were "very slow" , "too hot", what reports did everyone else have yesterday and if you got lucky, what general areas working? I think the birds need a front or 2 to get them down.

I hunted "in town" in Allen near 121. Saw an okay number of birds I'd say for the field I was in. We had 3 guys and got 11 in the morning Wed, came back in afternoon for maybe 9 more. I think a ton depends on the field you have. Ours was a wheat field but was not shredded so they didn't want in there, just passing by really. The field across the street was cut down and had alot more shots. I didn't see exactly what they had planted there though. I'm probably going to buy the public lands permit just to get access to take my kids with me a few times. I know the fields are typically slow, but it's nice to get out with them.
