I'd check with the manufacture. Ten Point recommends 100 grain for theirs.
That way they get the advertised speed but in their manuals they give speed changes for heavier weights. Just do not go any lighter than the 100gr as bows are also designed for a minimum bolt weight and just about all the manufactures supply bolts of that weight with the bows including Tenpoint and the other manufactures.
Tenpoint is a very good company to deal with for warranty work as is Excalibur, depending on the issue seen they would often want the bow sent in for repair and RCA of the failed part or if they already knew about the issues from other calls they would just send me the part.
Barnett is as well it got to where with Barnett I could call them and give them my list of parts needed for warranty work and they would send them out within a couple days, they have ask me fairly often to use the needed part from one of our bows and they would next day that part often with a few extras for the shop to have for when they would be needed.
PSE and Carbon express would want the crossbows sent back to them no matter the issue. I am ok with that but it often took weeks to get it back to the customer.
Center Point I do not know how they are now but in their earlier days selling crossbows they would just send the parts for repair, the first one we got back in the shop for warranty work, I called them and we had the part the next day delivered by Fed-ex.
When Bear got into crossbows the reverse limb bows had enough issues I just wished they had stayed with vertical bows.
Parker is no more but they sure stood by the warranty, if the issue was on the front end they would just send a new front end with return for RCA and the same if it was the trigger group/locking mechanism. We would have the replacement part in usually 3 days.
