How far from a feeder do yall recommend setting up a cam? I know it depends on a lot of stuff like the cam, sensitivity settings, what youre trying to accomplish etc. If you set up on the post of a feeder pen, then for reference a 13 panel pen is about 32' to the center and a 10 panel is 25'.
I normally have other guys do all our camera work but the new place Im more involved and Im finding issues with too close and narrow field of view and too far and seem to be missing a lot of pics. Also may go video some to experiment so I dont know if that would factor in.

You should be good to go setting the camera on one of the post in a feeder pen with 13 panels. I've got
one on a post with 10 panels and get great photos.

man free, I'd think anywhere in between 20'-30' should work great with most of the TCs.

Holy moly Mr T that is a chunky monkey there! Hell of a buck! Did you get that deer? I'm assuming the date is correct on the pic??

High fence, low fence, no fence, it really doesn't matter as long as you're hunting!

I did not get that deer. Saw him opening day for less than 2 seconds running across my food plot,
and again in January during the muzzle loader season for about that long. Way to fast for me to get a shot.
I have not seen him since.........That is a true monster for East Texas.

15-20 feet for a feeder but I get my best pics by doing a straight line of corn on the ground away from the feeder. This way you tend to get a good pic of the deer facing and then a few sideways pics when they start eating. I usually do the camera about 10 feet from the end of the pile. Also I think an important part of putting a camera at a feeder is to try and face it where the majority of the deer are approaching the feeder from

18' with most cameras is perfect. A few cams will work better a little closer and others a little farther away. With two feeders in a pen, I end up using 2 cams...one closer and one at bit farther out. Don't miss many deer with this setup.
