Rickym, his dad, and nephew are planning to come out this Friday evening and hunt until Sunday morning for pigs.

Even though we've killed 40+ hogs since July they just keep coming. It's drying out now so they're really looking for food. May get a little worse before it gets better.

Here are a few of the water holes/ponds we corned out today. Looks like pigs were in all of them last night.

The plan is when they arrive(should arrive after dark) I'll walk one of them down to the field and shoot or at least shoot at a pig or two. Then Saturday morning I have a blind in the back where some young 20-40 pound pigs are coming in at 7am. Hopefully whoever sits there can shoot an eater or two. Saturday morning around 8:30 I hope to take the young one on an armadillo hunt. Saturday evening they'll spread out and probably sit in blinds and then after dark do some night stalking. Issue may be the late moon rise. Hope these guys are ready to stay up late and put a hurting on some pigs!

Will try to post pictures starting Saturday mid day. Oh, last night at 3am I saw 5 40-80lb pigs next to my house in my orchard and heard more in the pond.

They got here at 9pm last night. Ricky shot at a pack off my back porch. Heard a squeal but didn't find the pig.
Have his dad and nephew in a blind already this morning. Tonight they should be rested enough to hunt more.

Ricky took a walk and shot at another one in the field last night but couldn't find it either. Just deer this morning after light.
Tonight they have a plan and I bet they shoot and recover one. As long as they're having fun and running off some hogs it's a win/win.

Kyle made his first kills using a 22 mag. He shot an armadillo or two. He was all pumped up!

Still trying to get a picture of a dead pig. Rickys dad just shot at one off my porch but couldn't find that one either. I'm sure Ricky will get one stalking here in a little bit.

Well these guys never used IR scopes. And shots were different distances in the dark that they've never seen in daylight. And using a .223 they needed a head shot to drop them. Not that easy to do IMO. More so on a smaller 30lb pig But they had fun.

I continued the hunt by hunting myself last night. Shot 7 and found 6. I couldn't remember which way the 7th ran but I bet buzzards are on it later today. Will post pics soon.
