My favorite way to cook them is on the grill with lump charcoal mixed with mesquite wood, same as my steaks.
A proper burger should always be cooked in a skillet or a flat top IMO.
Since it is just me & the wife now it is hard to make sense out of doing that for one or two burgers, especially when they are so good out of the cast iron.
Don't know about you but I could eat hamburgers twice a week and never get tired of them.
Told the wife Sunday am I am grilling the burgers & brawts tonight, she smirked like okay will see
That smirk means if I have not worn myself out and had to much to drink and then ask her to just cook them in the cast iron while I finish chilling
Off to a rocky start, not only did I do all the yard work around my house, I also mowed the creek bank behind the house and for 3 of my neighbors. Took a break then did a light workout.
At 4:47 I looked at the wife and said Chit I forgot to pull the hamburger meat out
Wife says she will run to the store and buy some more, me Nope it will thaw and give me time to have a few drinks and she says great we won't eat until 8:30
Around 5:30 had my first drink a Whiskey sour which I spilled 3/4 on the creek bank going after my mutt, second one went down good but had a hankering for something else.
So whiskey and coke it was and a little after 8 time to eat.
Definitely enjoy the smoke flavor!
Wife made Banana bread so paired it up with Blue Bell Coconut Cream Pie.
