Nice shrimp, cooked in the gumbo, and plated on Basmati rice. Enough Tabasco to make me sweat!!!

It is obvious that you did not use bait shrimp in there.

It is obvious that you did not use bait shrimp in there. LOL. Many times growing up fishing in the Winter, if we were fishing bait and the bite was slow....... We always carried a 5 gallon bucket with a single burner Coleman stove running in the bottom, turned down low. Sitting in a chair, your hands/reel were over bucket to keep warm so you could feel fingers. Get hungry and fishing live shrimp? No worries. Always carried a long fork, just peel them and roast over the fire. No seasoning or anything. Awfully good stuff when you're hungry at 4 am.

. As long as the shrimp are alive, they are bait for redfish!! Once they die, I rinse them and save to freeze and bring home. Dead shrimp is hardhead food, if you try to fish with them. If all my shrimp die, I'll break out the cast net and get a mess of finger mullet. They work good, and catch big flounder too!!!
