This guy showed up one time for the camera. Pic is two years old. Never seen in person. Just up and vanished like a fart in the wind. Bad photo but very interesting rack.

Big heavy 8pt, hope he shows up when you are there during season.

One of the biggest bucks I have had on camera was there fairly often and I saw him pre season several times but only got one pic of him on camera once and that was after the cows had knocked the camera away from the feeder. The one time I saw him during season was the last day of season after I had already killed one almost as big as him.

They don't always live year after year
There's predators, diseases, parasites, poachers,
road hunters, might be injured while fighting and
succumbed to injuries, might be hit on the highway, etc.
Many things stacked against a free ranging animal
living for many years

Where was that pic taken?

Looks like it's standing next to some Aspen trees?

That's a big old 8!

High fence, low fence, no fence, it really doesn't matter as long as you're hunting!

OP said Henderson County so those would be just Sweet Gum trees after the leaves have fallen. Big ol 6 or 8 WT. Just goes to show you really never know what might/could show up.

Not sweet gum. Only tree in East Texas with smooth bark and that color could possibly be young cottonwood trees.

Nice buck wherever its from.
