This will probably be a shock to most but Jose Canseco. I was a kid and we would come down to Arlington at least once a year and stay at the hotel near the old stadium to catch a Ranger game and six flags. I was probably 10 or so and Canseco came out to that big pool and played catch with the football with all the kids, threw us all around, let us all tackle him, etc. He then took us all inside to the restaurant and bought all the kids ice cream. There was probably 20 of us - which it was just all random kids.

Garth Brooks, he lived down the road from me in Oklahoma and I ran into him fairly often. He was always a really down to earth guy but my only complaint about him was that freaking helicopter coming and going non stop.

He was the featured speaker at the little community center we had. All the kids had him sign our shirts, our hats, our ball gloves, our bats and after he signed 2-3 napkins per kid, he finally said, this is the last round. He had to be a saint to put up with us all. I remember that he was very gracious and a gentleman.
