Loving this high mountain weather but it's time to head back. My ac compressor went out a day before we left and hopefully they can get it fixed when we get home. It's an older American Standard 4 ton and of course they don't make that model anymore so they'll install a new one. I just hope it's been delivered. With last nights run at the blackjack table I paid for about half the cost thank God! I'm sure getting tired of repairing and replacing ac units.

The boy's called while we were in Roswell and said they'd meet us at the house when we got back, had the new unit installed and cold air blowing in 2 hours. Sweet!

MO No alcohol on the casino floor. The bar is just off the floor and another bar right around the corner. I prefer no alcohol at the tables, it get's real crowded with a bunch of drink holders at the table, you're already sitting elbow to elbow. That goes for water bottles and coffee cups, if you feel the need just get up, grab a drink or two and come back to the table. On another note it's easy to see how the casino's make as much money as they do at the tables. I was amazed at how many people I saw sit down and blow hundred of dollars making bad plays, the game is not that hard to play. Not taking hit's when they should, not doubling down and the one that gets me most is not splitting 8's or less when the dealer shows 6 or less. I play by the book and rarely get cute with my chips unless a unique situation comes up and I'm feeling lucky. To be honest I'll only do that if I'm the only one at the table. Nothing will piss off a table full of players quicker than the player at third base making bad plays. The cute play I referenced was splitting 9's against a 6 and splitting 9's against an ace. Saturday night I was dealt 9's with a 50 dollar bet and the dealer rolls a 5. I split the 9's and caught another 9, split that and caught another 9. 200 on the table before my second card. I caught a Jack on the first card and held, caught another 9 on the second and split. caught a 6 and held, caught a 2 and double on the next and another 2 on the next and held , catching a ace on the last 9. Dealer flips over a king and then a 7. Took down all bets........I was at the table Sat morning and the dealer shows an ace and I've got 9's, split the 9's and ended up with 19 and 20, dealer rolls an 8 so I broke even. Tournament Black Jack is a whole different ball game where you'll see players make uncommon plays due to the format of the game.
