Been keeping dinners simple lately. While pondering what to make I found a pack of tenderloins from last year. Marinated them overnight and hit the grill as hot as I could get it. A little over for my liking but the wife and kids thought it was perfect. Served thinly sliced over an HEB bagged bacon Cesar salad. Was pretty good.

Looks good...I'm with you, little past where I would prefer but definitely not ruined. I cooked two boneless ribeyes this weekend that were near 2" thick...I did the same thing, medium versus med rare bang

There is only one benefit to a chest freezer that I have found...you can put full caped animals in it...mine has an 8 pointer and a fallow that I need to get to a taxi. That's it though, the only benefit I've found. wink

Everybody's uses are different, but there are several really good benefits. They are more efficient than uprights, run less, and save you money on your electric bill if the rates are high. More available space, because the coils don't go across the opening with the shelves. When you open the lid, the cold air stays in the freezer and stays colder. Go to a restaurant supply store for racks and baskets, or just go to Lowes or Home Depot for the stackable wire basket closet organizers. Then you can separate your meat packages from the veggies, and know exactly what is left!!!
