I’m going on a hunt in Canada this September and was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on where to drop it off at around the dfw area. Also what would the pricing be like for a rug or body mount? Any suggestions besides keeping it frozen on the way home In coolers?

By Sept they will be eating a lot, and trying to put on fat. Do the best job you can in getting all the fat off that you can. Freeze solid, and keep frozen until you get it to the taxidermist. Pricing is very dependent on the taxi that you choose, but you can figure $180-240 a linear foot for a head on, open mouth rug. I think a reasonable price on a life size will run you between $400-600 a foot. Choose wisely!!!

I used Alpine Taxidermy in Fort Worth for my bear and I was very happy.
