There was a little fish market in POC that made some of the best I've ever eaten. I never made the trip without buying stuffed crabs and cracked crab claws. Are there any other markets that sells them? Location?

I used to order them when we lived in New Orleans. Here in Texas I’ve had some at Pappadeauxs that were good, though it’s been a while. I’d rather have stuffed shrimp, if they do it right. The worst I ever had was at Joe’s Crab Shack, where their so-called stuffed shrimp weren’t stuffed. So bad that I asked the manager to come visit our table. I wonder if that chain even exists any more.

One of the best dishes I ever had was an eggplant cut into two pieces, scoped out and stuffed with crab meat from crabs that I caught myself when I lived in New Orleans.

Dang it, Bill! Ever since you mentioned stuffed crabs, I’ve been craving them. And I’m a long way from any place that might have them. Suffering…I’m suffering…and it’s your fault.

 I loved fishing the POC jetties. We started in the summer catching good size specks. We started picking up slot reds a it got closer to fall. Eventually it was all reds. The limit was five back in the day. There is one day I will treasure forever. Three of us caught the limit of 15 reds.

I loved fishing the POC jetties. We started in the summer catching good size specks. We started picking up slot reds a it got closer to fall. Eventually it was all reds. The limit was five back in the day. There is one day I will treasure forever. Three of us caught the limit of 15 reds. My absolute favorite type of fishing . Flounder and specks
