I have a functional 10 ft paddle kayak but looking for something more advanced with more room.
I don’t want to go through the processes required with a powered kayak, just looking for something pedal driven, at least 12’, with plenty of storage room.
Any recommendations that you guys have used and loved, or anyone have something they’re looking to sell?

There is time, and you must take it, to lay your hand on your dog's head as you walk past him lying on the floor or on his settle, time to talk with him, to remember with him, time to please him, time you can't buy back once he's gone" GBE

Also I’ve watched several good reviews on YouTube lately. I’m looking to buy one as well

I have used kayaks and canoes with hunting for many years.

Whatever length kayak you choose for your first, you will likely later wish you bought a bigger one.
Since you will be hauling gear, you, maybe a dog, And all wet at times. Pay close attention to listed weight ratings when choosing your boat.
While the weather is still warm, take your new kayak out and purposely try to make it tip over to find it's limitations.
My kayak hunting almost always involves dragging and portaging over mud flats, vegetation, logs, gravel bars, etc. That may or may not be a problem with a pedal drive.

^^^ Good points.

I had the same thought about the pedal drive. I ended up with a used Ascend H12 because the price was right, 450 lb capacity (I'm not small), and it is very comfortable to lay out in with the blind installed.

That is a sit in or what they call a Hybrid sit in right? I also prefer a sit in for hunting. I haul a lot of gear and want it "in" the kayak, not on top of it. Plus I can lay in the kayak with or without a small layout blind. A sit on top limits what you can carry and not so great for using as a layout blind. It is mostly just transportation IMO. I have both types BTW.

I was looking at something like the Old Town Sportsman Discovery Solo 119, but would like to have one with a removable pedal drive and rudder for easier movement from point a to b. Also would make it easier to use for fishing in the spring.
The Native Ultimate 14.5 Propel is absolutely perfect for what I want, I just can’t find one for sale anywhere in TX.

Wanted to add. If you want a kayak in camo or earth tone color for hunting, buy it in that color. Painting a kayak would never hold up and using a full cover over would be a real pain and add a lot of weight when wet.

I would love to have a pedal drive for fishing, but it would never work as a hunting kayak for me. Having room to pedal would remove too much room for gear, decoys, and dog. Though a small one with a low flip top blind dedicated for sculling/stalking ducks would be a blast when those kinds of hunts are called for.

This is my 14' Old Town

when I do use a yak I use the Accend 12 sit on top. My yak is for transportation only, I never hunt out of it. I'm not sure I would want pedals on my yak as I can already see them getting broke and busted up.

I have a native ultimate 14.5. I personally only want a paddle kayak and don't want to mess with any peddle drive systems. The native has been a great boat, but it is not self bailing which concerns me at times crossing deep water in the winter time. I made a homemade blind for it and grassed it up. Like boats it is hard to have a hunting kayak and a fishing kayak in the same kayak.
