My son is at A&M and I wanted to meet him for a dove hunt once the season gets going. Does anyone have any recommendations in the College Station area?

Look at the Moody ranch in Navasota.

Tell your son to look on TexAgs forum they have a outdoors area and usually have some dove hunts listed.

Im outside of brenham area, zero doves here yesterday. Seems the spotty rains and the wet wx has played with
dove movement. All stock ponds are full, so birds dont have to travel far for water. few neighbors have sun flower patchs
around. Alot of hay production in progress here, guess anticipation of another cold winter like in Feb,

Good luck, might try Hunting Permits TPWD have with different leases, did that few years back, seems ok.
reports of good birds near Waco and southward on IH35....

hunt safe... gud luck...

I tried several of the public spots near Chappel Hill and in the Brenham area last year and had zero luck.

+1 on this. Closest thing I have found is weekday day hunt in Mexia, which is halfway between me north of Dallas and my sons in College Station. Looking for something closer to them.
