While my preference is for the Lee Greenwood's original, that 'cover' is certainly stirring. So glad to see some of the younger generations 'carrying on'. Thank you for posting this.

No, tlk, its not "just my take." It is mine as well and I appreciate you posting things like this(not your first time.) That Francis Scott Key you posted had me needing an entire box of kleenex. Chills and tears for me. Thanks a lot for posting.

Just listened to them both, must say Im partial to Mr. Greenwoods version, but they were both great. You know what is funny is that I was never a huge Lee Greenwood fan but that song and they way he does it is just crazy good. This version is also badazz and anyone that doesn't get a little chill needs to get on the first boat out! lol

As a vet of a foreign war who came home to a loving family anxiously awaiting me at the end of the airport terminal, remembering how my kids wouldn't let me go for a while after the initial hugs, the end part with those surprise reunions of service members to their families always, ALWAYS, get me. Love seeing those videos. At the same time I hate that we see those videos because it means people are still in harms way.
