Back in March, I had to put down my constant companion, Mattie. I cried like a baby and realized how much I loved that dog. At my age, I just wasn't up for starting over with a new pup when I was still mourning my loyal, old dog. Then, my wife showed me a pic of a 6 week old puppy and after looking into her eyes, I knew she would be coming home with us. I still miss Mattie terribly but this little toot is making room in my heart for her. She is now 6 1/2 months old. Congrats sir, she is a good looking pup. Almost looks like dog silhouette on her side. It is hard to loose a good companion but another can help you feel better though not forget constant companions that have passed on.

That is GREAT....and glad you made that decision. She is not a 'replacement' for your beloved Mattie, no such thing exists, but a NEW friend equally deserving of your companionship. Many new memories in the future for you both. Take good care of her and love her.
