I inherited my father in law’s knife collection. Lots of amazing knives. I’m having trouble identifying the maker of 1 of them. Please help.

It has markings stamped 502 on blade and sheath. I couldn’t find 502 as a brand with a quick Google search. Is there a 502 brand or is that the serial number? It’s a beautiful knife as you can see.

502 is a grade of stainless steel and that may be what the stamp is indicating.

Weird it’s on the sheath though (on the inside)

Handle material looks like some kind of bone, dosen't look much like antler to me. If I had to make a guess I'd say the bolsters are nickle silver.

Thanks y'all. Still on the hunt. Mike, I agree that it doesn't seem like antler. Very well made knife.
