What’s the allure of the friction folder?
What are the scales of?
How do you get that color/texture on the blade? Acid, cerakote-type?
Just curious, James
what is the allure? don't know you'd have to ask my customers
my suspicion is not everyone needs a high speed tacticool knife all the time
sometimes a simple knife, just to sit and do a little whittlen is wanted
or open a bottle, or strike a ferro rod
but that would just be my guess, you'd have to ask my customers who have them
i'm sure each of them would give a different reason
scales are g10 on all my friction folders
the blade is acid washed / stone washed,, a forced patina,,,
it's a natural process that helps tie up some of the surface iron
so that its not available for rust,,, doesn't make it rust proof
but simply aids in making it a little less susceptible
curious is good, thank you James
