Leupold VX3-HD, Warne Rings, EGW base on a Remington 600. I changed the factory trigger to a Timney which required me to beat pretty hard on the pins. I had to pound on them even harder going back in, so much that I ended up putting a drop of oil on the front one. I got the stock back on to the same torque setting as it was coming off. So I'm wondering how far off I'm going to be off from zero and damn, right on the money. I did adjust elevation to the ammo and range I wanted but about eight shots and not 1/2" deviation on windage from prior to taking it off the stock and banging on the action with a hammer and punch. I've been using Warne stuff a while, and Leupold almost exclusively forever. This was my first use of an EGW product, this rail worked out.

I've got same scope and rings, different base and rifle, but agree with you. That scope in those rings does not come off zero, at least I haven't found a way yet. Really happy with the set up.

These are the horizontal split, not like the others I have that are vertically split. I've mentioned it in other posts, but I now have VX6, VX5 and VX3 HD. This VX3HD is 1", 4.5-14. They're all great scopes.

Good to hear the review. I just got a new VX3-HD 4.5-14 from Leupold as a replacement for a scope they couldn't repair. Trying to decide if I will keep or sell, but if I keep it may go on my 6mm Mohawk.

Did you notice, this set up is a Mohawk. We had a 6mm in our family that my brothers shared when we were kids. Killed my first real buck with it. This scope is pretty good, you oughta keep it if you need it.

Ah - nice! Do you have a pic of it with scope mounted?

I'll get one tomorrow, it shoots great. That trigger definitely took care of the horizontal shot stringing.

I wasn't too happy with the height above the bore until I slapped this stock pack on it. Not an issue getting a good weld. It hunts good.

Thanks - I like it. I may consider adding it onto mine. It sure is a fun gun to shoot.
