Had a pair, comfortable but the hottest dang boots I've ever owned. Had to sell them. They are hot. Yes, really not for dove hunting but its your choice Maybe you should try them again. After losing all that blubber, you won't be as likely to overheat. "Only gripe I have is they catch corn during my test spin. Pulling them on and off to pour out the few kernels not hard at all." Reminds me of the Sand Aggie fan squinting into the sun while wearing his cap on backwards. Consider pulling your pants over the boots and instead of posing with your pants within them. Goretex or really any water proof liner doesn’t breath have to get non water proof and it’s better

Should have bought the moccasin style, they have a zipper on the back. I thought about it but the store said since I do not have a vagina that I could not own a pair of the moccasin style Sorry old man but women do not buy boots with a zipper. Can't you bend over and pull them off, no then get a boot jack.

Bought my pair of Chippewas back in 05 when I moved to South Texas for college, and working on ranches. Still have those boots and wear them frequently, still going fairly strong after 16 some odd years.

heat them up with a heat gun or in the oven on low, soak them in neatsfoot oil and wear them till they dry then do it again.

Mine are hard to get off after walking through dew, or sweating. It seems like it’s mainly a moisture thing. Once off they’re hard to get back on. I’ve just learned to live with it. Had them 10 years and have many miles on them….one of my best hunting related purchases.
