We saved room for dessert tonight, since I went to all the trouble!!! New York style with sour cream topping, snickerdoodle cookie crust instead of graham cracker. Since I was standing by the stove anyway, I reduced down some fresh raspberries with powdered sugar, lemon and vanilla - strained the seeds, and added some berries I reserved. For all of you who critique my dishes, we did not cut the pie into quarters! Home made crust. I just used my regular cookie recipe for dough, formed the crust and baked until it was set up a bit, then let cool a few minutes. Sounds weird, but wanted to try it. Made some cookies with the left-over dough.
2 â…” cups flour
2 teaspoons cream of tartar
1 teaspoon baking soda
2 teaspoons cinnamon
â…› teaspoon salt
1 â…“ cups sugar
1 cup butter softened
2 eggs
