A few pics from western Montana about a month ago. The heat and fires have really done a number on the fish up there so fishing is now restricted in many of the rivers and lakes.

Good looking trout, my biggest trout have come from Montana from a private lake I got an invite to fish. I thought they were big, then the owner of the place showed me some single fillets that were bigger than my 7lb rainbow.

How long was that Bull? Never caught one myself

Beautiful. I made that trip several years ago. I should have stayed longer.

Beautiful fish!

High fence, low fence, no fence, it really doesn't matter as long as you're hunting!

He was 16”. That is a very big one for Rock Creek, but they get much larger in bigger rivers. They are relatively rare especially in the Lower 48.

I didn’t take many photos this trip. I’ll post some from last year:

That brook trout is beautiful

For it is not the quarry that we truly seek, but the adventure.
