Walked outside and just stood and watched the evening show. The deer were waiting on me to trip the feeder for them, the geese were just enjoying an evening graze.

Met or fish.
Quail hunting is like walking into, and out of a beautiful painting all day long. Gene Hill

I had a big gaggle fly in and land at dusk. That cold front must be pushing them down.
One shot is all it should take.

I had a big gaggle fly in and land at dusk. That cold front must be pushing them down. These are resident geese, they never leave the general area and nest locally. The chemical plant I retired from, bought some geese many years ago (20+) and clipped their wings and turned them loose on their cooling water lakes. They thrived and bred profusely and spread to the surrounding lakes and ponds. We usually have from 9 to 25 on the pond across the road. I love watching them land and take off, experts of the air and enjoy hearing their different calls.
