Another great trip. It seems the prices are very reasonable right now I booked the hunt last year in April 2020. The prices were incredible as well as the airfare when I booked in November 2020. In several of the camps I went to I was the first USA hunter they had had in over a year. There seemed to be a higher abundance of exceptional trophies than usual. Several of the farms we hunted said it’s been almost two years since anyone has hunted there at all.

Curious as to how Hippo taste?
Beautiful animals! Thanks. We had a butcher from town come out on the hunt with us. He had about 10 guys with him. He said the meat is very tough and he would be making processed meat with it. I asked him what kind of products are the processes meats and could not give me word for it. My PH said what we would call hot dogs in the USA. We grilled the backstrap over some coals on a grill. Tasted like any other game meat but it was tough to chew. The trackers also enjoyed it, but also said it was tough.
