Yesterday while making my roux for gumbo, I got a little too energetic with the whisk, and slopped some out on my wrist holding the pot. Crap, that was like lava!!! Before I could get it wiped off and dunked in cold water, the deed was done. One hour later, it had already started to swell

If you're gonna be stupid, you gotta be tough! roflmao

DANG, that gotta hurt! Every time I burn myself, even in the slightest, I think to myself how horrific it would be to get caught in a fire. Hard to imagine.....

Pop those blisters & get well soon!

Ouch. I know a thing or two about a bad burn in the kitchen. I melted all the skin off of the lower half of my right leg...smoking hot cooking oil was spilled. 2 different skin grafting surgeries to get it fixed up, and about 7 months on crutches. I can't quite describe what it's like to watch your skin fall off of your body in huge pieces but it's not fun.

Go read the thread about “Tuff” Hudson and what he went thru and still is. Then suck it up. It’s just a damn burn.

That’s a bad spot for a burn - ouch man!

I gave myself a third nipple earlier this month when I bumped into a screaming hot Weber without a shirt on bang

I dont’t hink an old man talking about a little burn has anything to do with our buddy Hudson fighting for his life. But it does put things in perspective. Calm down tough guy!

Charlie

I sold many a thousand gallons of this to all the Joes Crabshack, Landry's Seafood Rest. They would buy it in 5 Gallon Buckets for their roux.
