Exactly. I guess it’ll now turn into coffee shops, art galleries and ghey type folks. Along with skyrocketing property values.

No longer no country for old men.

The old hotel was redone quite well, I think by a friend of Bezos'. The kid at the bar a couple of years ago stumbled through what was actually a decent martini. grin I'm sure they brought in better bartenders and waitstaff for the launch.

I think I'll have to check out Dell City. bolt

It is, and always will be, a place to stop and pee while you are going some place real on I-10.

He owns several there. He's bought up several old, family ranches that hadn't changed owners since the civil war.

I saw the air/shuttle strip frome the Sierra Diablo mountains when I was on mule deer hunt, back when he was just getting into this space thing.

I just don't want the animalists taking over and telling me I can't do this and I can't do that. Go hug a yote and kiss a snake. That kind of thing. Isn't that what Palm Springs is for?

roflmao It's coming my friend, to all the wild places. Arrogant humanoids feeling superior and telling others what they should do. Montana is being discovered. North and South Dakota have a little time left, but not much. And I'm sure some lefty loon has that pretty, confident governor of South Dakota in their sights. She must be taught a lesson!

I was born in Colorado, a fourth generation Westerner, that is, Great Grandfather went to Wyoming in the 1870's. My great Uncle to what is now Midland. Others to Fort Worth. I MUST CONFESS I have a sort of hard time accepting the amount of urbanization that has occurred. It seems selfish- I want the whole place to myself but I can't help the way I feel. One of my last favorite things is the drive from Fort Stockton down to Persimmon Gap and Big Bend, Black Gap. It is as if "I can breathe again" Does every single square foot of America have to have a house on it? I'd pay more taxes if Texas got conservation easements along some driving routes, keep things as they are right now.
