This week on CARNIVORE we will be back in the Texas Panhandle with Pecos Hagler and Casey Carter. We did a REALLY poor job of handling all the coyotes that swarmed us on one stand. Hope that you will tune in at noon today, 11:30 PM on Friday, 12:30 PM on Saturday or 6:00 PM on Sunday.

I did a mule deer this past November and was just south of Clovis and on the Texas/New Mexico border. That area was covered up with coyotes! ! ! Go if you can get a chance!

I have never hunted in that area. I have hunted quite a bit around Tucumcari. At one time, there were lots of coyotes there but now lots of aerial gunning. That country is really open, kinda hard to hide the truck...

You can stay on the Texas side hunting north west of Muleshoe, between there an Farwell. But I think it is all private land, with lots of mule deer!!! The area southeast of Clovis has the Sandhills National Park, so you would need a permit Hunt along HWY 348 which parallels the NM/Texas border!
