Digging through the freezer for meat, I was giddy to find a couple back straps that were a gift from Cast, (which later I found out were previously a gift from another member) so I had to thaw them out and make em both proud. Sliced, S&P, a quick dip in 1/2butter and 1/2bacon fat
Found some nice asparagus, roasted them in evoo with a few cloves of garlic, coarse sea salt and fresh ground black pepper. Quartered young red potatoes, evoo, S&P, sliced some of my shorty jalapeños and tossed in some of the Jamaican reds that didn’t seem hot when I ate a few raw, they sure woke up after roasting. A brand new flavor that I found to be outstanding as well. All in all, here’s to you Cast. Rest In Peace buddy!
