 Fun Time in the Panhandle

This week we are calling coyotes in the Panhandle above McLean with Outdoor Photographer, Pecos Hagler and Preacher and Outfitter, Casey Carter. I was surprised at the number of coyotes we saw come out of nothing and roll forever across the vast open terrain. We even attended church with Casey between hunts.

High fence, low fence, no fence, it really doesn't matter as long as you're hunting!

One day, we killed more off camera than on. That was the day that on 6 different occasions when we walked in to make a call, we ran coyotes out of the headers and canyons. Winds were blowing pretty high and it was pretty obvious where they were going to be...problem was, I was too good at picking my stands and we would walk right in on the bedded dogs.
