One of the more genteel, recently more mature contributors to this forum posted somewhere about does delivering triplets. I was like, yeah, right & whatever.

Wow
That poor old girl looks like she is hurting. Someone in that neighborhood needs to feed her some good groceries!!!

I've no doubt they are all three hers just looking at how small they are and how bad of shape she is in.

I watched this lady deliver triplets outside our kitchen window years ago. Notice she looks completely worn out also.

If that's clover in your yard it is good forage.

We had a doe with triplets 2-3 years ago. I took note of a small white patch she had and we let everyone know she was off limits.

She is definitely very thin no doubt.

years ago, an old rancher friend of my dad told me almost always a doe will carry 3 fetus' but rarely do all three survive. He said it was typically on the mid years to fully mature does. He raised many twins in his house yard where the mama was raised after her mom got caught in a fence, the rancher raised her from a bottle. She always came back to the yard to give birth as it was her safe place. I only recall once that she had triplets. And of course the ranch shot many a good buck from his back porch when she came in heat and brought the boys home.
