Last year I went to a buddies ranch to shoot a few culls and popped this coyote. Ruined a morning hunt and I caught it crossing a sendero. First one I’ve killed in several years.

I don’t know why I did but I ended up keeping it and dropped it off at the taxidermist for a shoulder mount.

I was apprehensive at first but here is the mount in a rough state. Will be completely finished in 2-3 weeks.

I’m thinking this may be my favorite out of all of them.

That one looks great so far. What type of base or pedestal are you putting on? I have killed lot of coyotes and skinned many...all with intensions of mounting one someday. Never have done it though. The best looking coyote mount I have seen was one like this mounted on a base and it was sitting an end table.

It’s gonna be a flat base faux rock...gonna sit either on top of my safe or on my desk.

This one just had a really pretty, thick coat. A lot of white and grey, not nearly as brassy as the last few I’ve killed
