At dinner my daughter asked me 'how many teeth do humans have?' I told her that I need more information, are we talking about city folk or country folk?

No. For God's sake please SPEED UP to at least within a few miles under the speed limit. There is zero reason for us to be going 25 in a 60 when we're on a road with no where to pass. Take the back roads if you want to drive slow!

Yep, I don't mind you taking your time but please go at least the speed limit and stay in the right lane.

FM roads and SH roads are not back roads to people who live in the country. Only city people consider FM roads "back roads." Back roads are county roads.

It's become the trend here in Van Zandt County. Local builders are buying up small acreage and building out on 1/2 lots...probably making a killing. I know a few county roads out here - way out in the middle of no-where, where 5-6 acres came up for sale and now there are 10-11 homes on it.

I guess to someone from the inner city, 'burbs, or california that 1/2 acre lot feels like a 1,000 acre ranch to them.

Everyone I know talks about retiring to the country. I don't know of anyone who dreams of retiring in the city.

Wait, kids can't take pictures of livestock? Are they Muslim cattle or something?

Depends on how many acres your property is on.

Ain't this the truth. I live about 6 miles from town on 27 acres. House is centered as best it can be to be away from property lines and neighbors. There used to be very few houses out here but they are building them like crazy around us now. As you said it boggles my mind how close to each other they are building them or how close they are building them to the road.

If you can't take a leak off your front porch in the middle of the day you might as well live in town.

Watched Funny Farm with Chevy Chase the other night. Love that movie. Should be required viewing for anyone wanting to move to the country.

It would be nice if the ranches would stop being bought by all of these so called land developers who just re-survey the land into 5 to 10 acre plots and quadruple the price. Happened to 300 acres next to us and looks like trash now.
