I hate to be a killjoy but fireworks piss me off. I’m letting the pup stay inside tonight. The older dogs don’t worry me.

In the outdoor kennels, snap clips on the gate latches. It’s been going on here since Thursday night.

It didn’t start in my neighborhood until 9 last night. Put the pup in the shop. He’s staying air conditioned tonight. OJ’s gun conditioned but I’m not taking any chances.

Mine loved the dog trailer and the dog boxes in my Gator. They always jumped right in.

WTF does that have to do with fireworks?

You put your dogs in the kennel the house when there were fireworks going off. I put mine in the in the trailer of dog boxes which I kept in the garage. All of my dogs were not afraid of fireworks but I put all of them in there. They seemed to give comfort to others.

I've never owned a dog that had a problem with fireworks..

I'd do whatever it took to make sure they were safe if it was an issue.

Mine were running around the yard like we were dove hunting. Buster did just like we were hunting and looked toward the pops to see if a bird was flying still. Missy was doing her normal neurotic running back and forth. They didn't care. They sleep in their kennels everynight in the house.

Mine are used to it. Blitz doesn't pay them any attention at all. Coco doesn't care for them but she will come out and hang out on the porch now while they are shooting them as long as she can be right by me. The outside four just get in their dog houses. I had to surrender a pointer I had to a shelter because he was so scared of them. and there's no way to prep for it at my house, there are people shooting them in the daytime.

I lost a dog on July 4th due to fireworks. Blue tick hound that was very afraid of guns and loud noises. Dug out of a kennel and got run over in the road. That night sucked big time. Still miss that dog.

Had a GSP get out on a July 4 night went over a 5’ chain link fence. Found her 24 hours later. She would have been running towards the noise. Put a hot wire at the top and bottom of the fence and built my kennels, issue solved.

Do you now understand why I put my dogs in a trailer or dog box in my garage?

Never made a mistake. Ever. Not one time.

My old Britt is deaf and had no idea anything was going on. My 3 yo PP thought somebody was having a good hunt. I never thought about her breaking out to find birds tho.

It is hard to be humble when you are perfect I every way.
