I have a ranch 35 miles southwest of Sonora and this deer? has been showing up on a couple of my game cameras. His coloring is unusual with the top half of his cape mostly black and his underside is light gray to dark grayish brown. Also, his horns are developing the same time as my whitetail. His developing horns have an unusual shape as compared to a whitetail. Open links to see,[Linked Image]

I was gonna say that, but I bow to the Master. I ain't even seen a fallow live, in front of me, ever, that is, when I had a rifle in my hand.

Chocolate Fallow

High fence, low fence, no fence, it really doesn't matter as long as you're hunting!

100% choc fallow- the adam's apple gives it away. He might be young as I'm seeing most mature fallow a lot more along on antler development already as they normally shed velvet in very early Aug and rut Sept/early Oct.
