So I grew up in a small town that has always had a Kbobs. The food has always been meh, at best. I have also tried other in the west Texas area. Not any I would say I need to go back. But, the one in Ruidoso NM???? Spot on!!!

On our last trip we went 3 times. Steaks, chicken and salad bar was crazy stupid good. Standing room only and it was packed more so on the weekends. I wish our Texas Bobs would take a lesson from this place.

I’d only get the salad bar when I go to them, salad bars seem to be the only consistent things at some places.

Worked in Ruidoso in ‘83 for about 6 months. Ate lunch at Kbobs 5 days a week.

Good to know! The one in Lamesa is the last one I ate, and swore I’d never go back. There were more dead flies in the salad than leaves of salad…

Didn't Nolan Ryan partner with K-Bob's as a beef supplier?

Just about every town with a population over 5,000 in the panhandle had a K-Bobs. Some good, some decent, some bad, and it seemed to be day to day. They always had good lunch specials and salad bar was adequate. Definitely no Saltgrass or Roadhouse. I always equated them to a higher end Cafe or truckstop.
