I’ll take any tips and tricks or I’d love to just hear any ones story’s.

We will be hunting in 49a and 02a

Thanks Yall

While I can't give you any advice on hunting public land for deer, I can offer the advice to not shoot the first buck you see if antlers matter to you. There are some incredible deer (both mule and whitetail) in SD. My uncle has a place on the banks of Lake Oahe and we used to do a lot of bird hunting there. Some of the bucks we kicked out of brush piles and corn fields while gunning for pheasants would leave your mouth hanging open.

Good luck.

Thanks y’all!

WyTex, I have looked at that map. I’ve been using it to add public land parcels to my mapping app on my phone.

My good friend that is stationed up there is doing some early scouting for me. Always good to have a local insider!

Here are some pictures from last season he sent me. (That’s what convinced me to apply!)

Hoping for a good Muley but would never pass up a big white tail
