Contemplating getting some cement work done in the near future. Saw someone on Nextdoor paid $7 a sq ft. Is that a decent price for sidewalk, etc in DFW? TIA

One yard will pour 65 square feet at 5 inches. I generally pour four inches on sidewalk.

A year ago I paid $6 for stamped and colored. $7 for regular is about the going rate now on smaller jobs.

You could use help. Use a cook out for bait.

PM me for my concrete guy... have used him on half a dozen jobs and friends and neighbors have also.
Does excellent work, and you won't beat his prices...

$7/ foot is what I just paid for about 600 sqft of 4" thick driveway extension, sidewalk, and a small patio extension. Real rebar and tied to the existing slabs on 18" centers.

Northwest of Ft Worth, near Springtown

Wow - not sure what I'm doing wrong (or right). I won't entertain anything less than $10/sq ft unless it is a real big and easy job.

You probably have liability and WC insurance, employ folks that can legally work in the US, report you income to the IRS, actually purchased all your tools and equipment, and are not paying a service for referrals. bolt

It's actually called flatwork. If you're going to call someone out on their terminology, I'd recommend using the correct term yourself.

$7 for simple flatwork like a sidewalk sounds a tad high even with concrete at well over $100/yd now.
Now if this is a driveway with rebar that is a different story.

High fence, low fence, no fence, it really doesn't matter as long as you're hunting!
