Anyone get a chance to shoot the new Beretta A300 Ultima yet?

If you did, I'm interested to get your thoughts on the gun...what you liked or disliked...

Give us a shout...!

Ken

What did you think of the guns balance and what about perceived recoil...?

Anything that you did not like?

Gun felt really good and balanced. The recoil to me was next to nothing. I just got done shooting the SBE3 in 20 before that and honestly if I was buying a 20 , I would go with the A300

Although I didn't fire any shotguns at the DU Expo, the A300 Ultima shouldered and pointed good for me. I purchased a 12g and 20g in camo. I also purchased the SBE3 in 20g in camo (I shoot the SBE2 in 12G for fowel).

I was notified this week it will be 60-90 days before they ship!!!

I was unable to find any camo's in stock via the internet.

Good luck with your purchase.

Do you want to do this in the field at 5 AM if you forgot to put your plug in before you left the house?

I own 2 Benelli SBE 2s and a SBE 3. It is not a joy, but with a flat head screwdriver, I can do it easily.

That’s a pain in the arse (removing plug) but it looks like you could replace that plug with a free floating one inside the spring like many other guns use. Would need a closer inspection to be sure.

You can. All you have to do is pull the clip off and the plug can be removed and installed by removing the end cap. It’s not hard, not sure why you’d have the plug out anyways.

The plug is not required for upland birds.

Why bother? I'm no crack shot but three is plenty.

There is time, and you must take it, to lay your hand on your dog's head as you walk past him lying on the floor or on his settle, time to talk with him, to remember with him, time to please him, time you can't buy back once he's gone" GBE
