A coon got in the trap. I didn't notice it until it expired. Left a smell. I doubt another animal will go near it.
Not my trap witch makes matters worse. Any way to get the odor off the trap?

I have had it happen and it should not effect catching more at all. It will air out after a while also. If you have a stock pond or creek nearby just take it and submerge it there for a few days if you are concerned.
