That makes more sense. However, according to yesterday's press release, it was "forced outages", which one can only assume were not scheduled, that created the current shortage. That brings into question if poor management of facilities, or simply looking for a legal out in order to perform maintenance is not at play.

A significant number of forced generation outages combined with potential record electric use for the month of June has resulted in tight grid conditions.

I think the most moronic thing in the world was taking Big Brown and Monticello offline...that was a decent chunk of stable generating capability. I guess we have liberals and progressive types to thank for that.
