Real recently when looking at THF there are 3 pop up ad's/banners that display pending the screen you look at. 1 at the top that has always been there, one that I noticed about 6 weeks ago that pops up between sub forums such as OT and Classifieds, and one that pops up at the bottom. The ad's at the top and the middle are no big deal. The ad at the bottom is super annoying and is distracting on the eye.

Does anybody know how to turn them off? I have clicked X and it pops up a google message saying why do I not want to see this ad. I answer it and another ad pops up.

Any help is appreciated.

I missed that post. It is super annoying. I would think that the revenue is nice, but user experience is not. User experience leads to less views thus no reason for ad's. I would gladly pay an annual membership to not see ad's. I've been on THF for years, and it is honestly annoying enough that I may just stop visiting.

I don't mind the ones at the top, left side, and middle of the pages, but I have to admit the new one at the bottom is annoying the heck out of me.

I agree......there has got to be a better way to create revenue......and to be honest, I will not buy from these advertisers because they have irritated me........whoever convinced them this is effective advertising sold them a loser IMO.......

The irony is the new one that doesn't move when the page is scrolled covers most of the stationary ad at the bottom of the page.

The thing I hate is I usually browse THF on my phone. Right as I go to click on a link for a thread, the banner shows up, moves the screen, and makes me click on some other random link, like a username. Ugh.

How do you turn them off? No other forum I'm a member of has anything like this.

I don't get all that some are referring to. Mostly Moritz at the bottom of the screen.

One is popping up when I'm replying to a PM on my phone. Makes it impossible to see what I'm typing. Very annoying, I agree.

Agreed. If we had an option to go ad free for a fee I could go for that but these new ads at the bottom of the page are really irritating.

RAM currently on the bottom. I wouldn't buy another Dodge if they gave it to me half-off! And I wouldn't buy anything popping up here ever!

I am a trophy member and I understand the ads. I only browse on my computer, so I have more screen.

I get people's frustrations, but I also know you have to pay to have the site hosted.

This what I see. The lower one is stationary at the bottom of my browser and the one behind it scrolls with the page.

Very annoying. I was on some forum that i cant recall, and after you clicked on three of them they were gone for the day. That wouldn't be too bad, but a small fee to have them go away would be ok as well.
