we head down next Friday for a 5 day weekend.

One of my go-to places every trip is the Beach & Station Street Grill, I usually get the variety fried plate but I always order the gumbo!

Crazy Cajun Seafood restaurant was an always go to but a bit spicy for the grandkids for the table served boil (crawfish, shrimp, crab legs, corn, potatoes, etc.)

Rollin' Tide Boil Company is another but pricy

Tortuga Saltwater Grill & Virginia's on the Bay have been hit or miss

Seafood & Spaghetti works is decent but pricy

I have heard good things about BlueWater Cowboy (next to Beach & Station Street Grill) but haven't eaten there yet. maybe this trip.

Last time I went to Virginia's on the Bay it was pretty underwhelming.

LaPlaya Mexican food was some of the best I have had .

Stub ,
They sell shrimp off the boat at least 3 days a week but the Polly Anna has been sold and moved . I heard it was dry docked some where .

Our family fave is to order the shrimp boil right smack dab there on the beach. Someone else sets up a spot, brings corn jolio, cooks, cleans up and pretty much takes care of everything save for bringing the drinks, consuming same and eating up all the goodies.

I saw an article a couple years back where the Hurricane Harvey beat her up pretty bad, guess she did not recover.
Other shrimp boats like the Peggy Ann that sell down there also. We just enjoyed the fun of buying it fresh off the boat and grilling it later with corn on the cobb and whatever else the kids wanted.

We do the same when down there , buying off the boat and cook them while fresh . We bought last time from the Polly Anna . They put out Facebook alerts before they come in telling whet they have and the price .

if you are there for a few nights then one of them you need to do yourself a favor and head south on 361 about 15 minutes to SPID. Go right and go 1/2 mile and hit Scuttlebutt's up. Best is to go early to get there drink and appetizer specials which are reasonable. All of them are very good and so are their meals. The big seafood platter feeds my wife and I easily with leftovers for the next day.

High fence, low fence, no fence, it really doesn't matter as long as you're hunting!

Grumbles seafood, Dylan’s pizza, San Juan we’re all solid. Tried Cancun Mexican for breakfast and would not recommend that to anyone. Gonna try La Playa this evening or tomorrow. Leaving Friday morning. Will report back.
Also tortugas was ok.
