I live on the outskirts of town near Victoria Texas. This morning a pair of quail walked past my window and continued on towards the pasture. This is a welcome sign for this year.

I saw a covey in town last week, it was surprising to see them since it is in an area that the homeless hangout.

Glad you have some Quail. In East Texas, I haven't heard one in the last 10 years. I heard one, and later saw one, at a friend's place 4 years ago outside Jefferson.
