Been a few yrs since I had been back to Big Friendly. This is Trent’s home lake and he knows it like no one else. Every time I have gone with him he still manages to find bass. Couldn’t ask for a better weekend. Enjoy the pics

I like Amistad! My favorite lake, Always coolers full of beer driving down and coolers full of fillets coming back.

I love that lake! I've taken my share of bass out of it when I was in a SA bass club.

I went there with some buddies back in 2018 and got some good number of fishes coming back home.
I would love to get back there soon.

May just be the prettiest of all TX lakes!

How full is it right now?

High fence, low fence, no fence, it really doesn't matter as long as you're hunting!

Pretty low, I think I heard it was 54 percent full right now.

I love to see people keep and eat some bass, every once and a while. They are pretty good for a change of pace from saltwater fish. I have argued with friends in the local bass clubs (and lost a few of them!), that it is good for the lakes and rivers (in our case) for smallmouth to take some. Five years later, I listen to them bit*h about smaller stunted fish, and lower weights in tournaments!!

Great trip Roy, looks like one you need to do a bit more often

Bass are good eating and were my Moms favorite fish. She liked smaller ones in the 8 to 12 inch range best. Dang sure would love to sit down with them for a fish fry again.
