I haven't done a dagger since 2015, but I figured there's no time like the present. This piece is forged from some of Aldo's early Schrade 1084, with a milled fuller. Fittings are 416, and the handle is mammoth ivory. I built this one takedown, to facilitate potential future engraving. I'll have this one at Blade show. Might make the cut for my JS set, but might end up being one of the alternates.

I know NOTHING about knives, but the overall geometry of this dagger initially catches my eye, then the details really hold my attention. Exploring the lines of the blade leads me to investigate the open area near the base leading to that guard - which is really attractive due to the combination of squared-off design with very gently rounded edges.

Again, I know nothing about knives but I know what I think is beautiful.

Yeah, really nice. On the handle, a lot of folks don't realize how hard it can be to find material that "fits the knife" so that the surface isn't all filed away, etc.
