I am needing a generator to power a 25' trailer/RV style. I am looking for something quite and will power it. What can you recommend and do you recommend 4500 watt?

2 generators at 47# each. Honda 2200i and a Honda 2200i Companion. Pair them up for 4400 watts of easily transported power. The Companion has a 30 amp plug. Yamaha makes a similar pair.

Champion has a similar pair as well. I have the Champion one, although it's only a single. I don't need more than 2200 watts. But it's very quiet. I can't even hear it over the 5500 btu air conditioner that it runs.

This is exactly what I ran my 25’ camper with. Add an Aux tank and you can go all weekend on 7 gal.

Honda’s are very quiet and the have auto throttle ability.

My wife can pick either up and put into back of the truck

Open the lid, look at the carb, there is a drain screw-big flat head. As long as you remember to drain before storage you are golden.

We bought a Champion off of a forum member. It has been great starts every time and will run a long time on a full tank of gas.

On the Honda EU 2200I when you turn it off it continue to run to use up the fuel in the line and carb and then shuts down. Good luck on trying to find one I been trying for months to get one they are on National back order from Honda. I got lucky and found one last weekend it is the older style 2200I not the new model like I wanted but it just to have something for hurricane season

Word of warning. Be careful buying Honda generators from anyone but a reputable dealer. Have a buddy that got badly burned by a "wholesaler" in downtown Dallas that was selling Chinese Honda knock-offs. They had all the correct decals and model numbers, and fooled him completely.

On a related side note. I know someone looking to unload a number of red and black generators made in China at a considerable discount.

Another endorsement for this combination. (I have a pair of the original eu2000i) for the combined power output while offering redundancy in case one has a problem.

How can you tell it is a knock off? Just wondering what to look for if I ever come across a "deal".

Generally you can just look at the engine block casting. Honda's blocks are always smooth in appearance, while most Chinese blocks have a porous/rough cast look to the metal. Honda puts the engine CC's and model number along with the Honda logo on the bottom back of the engine block next to the oil filler.

If it's a "deal" than it is either a knockoff or stolen. Neither one is something i want. Quality costs money - no way around that.
