He died in 1998. In 2004, my Dad said "let's move your Grandad's mill, lathe, tooling, and knife stuff to your shop. No one else in the family is going to use it. I told Dad, well I don't know how to use all that stuff. He said, "you'll figure it out". I have figured out a whole lot, but always learning.

This was just a cut out blank of 154 CM. I think he intended it to be a light weight hunting knife, that's the reason for all the holes in the tang. It had an integral little gaurd. Well, I need better kitchen knives, so the guard got ground off. Pretty thin spine, and I gave it a straight grind.

Mesquite scales, with a coat of warm boiled linseed oil, stainless 1/8" pins.

It should cut onions and tomatoes with no effort.
