I knew there were bears all over SE Oklahoma, but I had no idea there where so many. Just a few pics from my game camera. Couple of them look to be decent size.

Last weekend we also saw two Timber Rattlers, both were about 3 feet long. Interesting place for sure.

May want to plan on buying some heavier plate steel and building a much heavier duty feeder. eek2

High fence, low fence, no fence, it really doesn't matter as long as you're hunting!

I've got an open invitation to hunt that area, my best friends son is trying to get me and his Pop up there for a hunt. He's sent me several pictures of bear on his place.

Yes! A Weatherby does kill them deader.

I'd give hour feeder a week or two especially if he brings a buddy. That's a big one for sure.

Probably not. I’ll kill all the hogs I see, but let everything else be.

It’s lasted 3 months so far, but you’re right. If one of the bigger ones wants in, it’s gonna be toast.

Couple of big hogs moving through. We’ve seen fox, turkey, deer, bobcats, and of course the rattlers.

Have you seen one up close and personal or just on the game cam? I bet that would be cool to watch one from the blind. That's neat. Thanks for posting.

I wonder what Big Bob would have to say about this. He's from Oklahoma, you know.

That is really cool, I enjoy seeing animals other than the usual suspects.

Neighbor shared some PA bear steaks with me a while back...they were actually really pretty good. Better than whitetail to me.

Just across the line in SW Arkansas. They do get big around there.

Our ranch is right across the Red River from SE Oklahoma. I haven't seen a bear yet, but I will not be surprised the day we find a feeder on the ground and bear tracks leading away from it....

Ramball makes a bear and bull proof feeder. Pretty stout for future reference. up

Their are WAY WAY WAY more bears in SE Oklahoma than anyone has a clue about. For that matter their are tons of them in NE Texas as well, one made the news outside of Paris this last weekend walking down the middle of the road with houses all around. I’ve seen several of them right on the other side of the river driving at night up thr. so hunters beware rifle

If one ever finds your feeder your screwed, generally they destroy whatever feeder they find fairly quickly and will keep doing it even after it’s been replaced until you bear proof it which consists of having to hang it from a tree limb or building a massive super duty tripod feeder that puts the bottom of the barrel out of their reach.
